Aletheia

Aletheia

Aletheia is a Greek word meaning TRUTH. Paul often uses this term in the New Testament, especially when referring to the act of reasoning with those of other world-views and beliefs. We live in an age of relativism, where truth is subjective. In Aletheia and at Renovate we stand for truth. By using reasonable defenses, we are seeking to show “the intellectual world” the absolute truth of God's Word--the person of Jesus and the Bible.

"He reasoned in the synagogue...and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there" (Acts 17:17).

Bloom

Bloom

Once a month, the ladies in Renovate get together to have some fun. In the past there have been hiking events, paintball, baking, and movie nights. Alongside these fun events, the ladies engage in prayer and devotional time with one another and before the Lord.

Framework

Framework

Framework groups are designed to help build upon your spiritual foundation, a biblical worldview, and a frame for Christian living.

Groups are co-ed and will encourage Bible-centered conversation. These groups meet weekly around Albuquerque. Each group will begin with a video, explaining briefly what the latest message in Renovate was about and then posing a question for discussion among the framework groups.

Framework groups encourage accountability and consistency. They also provide for more time for the body to dig deep into the text covered from Renovate's text that week.

Refuge

Refuge

In Psalm 91, the psalmist writes unto the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, My God in whom I trust." We truly do serve a God who not only provides refuge for the lost, but who is our refuge and our hope. Our goal is to provide the homeless in Albuquerque with as many physical essentials as possible and to open doors for the Gospel. We deliver care packages and share the Gospel with the homeless on a bi-weekly basis.

Stop and Pray

Stop and Pray

Prayer is essential in the body of Christ. The apostles in Acts 6 said that they would give themselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the Word. These two things then are the foundation for what we as a church body ought to be doing.

Stop and Pray allows for a time to come together and seek the Lord in prayer every Friday night at 6:00 PM in the Calvary of Albuquerque prayer chapel.

Street Salt

Street Salt

In Matthew 5, Jesus declares to His disciples, "You are the salt of the earth." We hope to saturate the streets of downtown Albuquerque with salt that puts a thirst in the hearts of men for Jesus and His grace. We minister to those in the party scene and those simply living for themselves, explaining that there is a better way, a freeing way, a way that does not lead to destruction.
